Guardian Tales Tier List: Ranking Every Hero from Best to Worst

Guardian Tales has recently stormed into the world of mobile gaming with an amazing blend of heart-thumping action, rich storytelling, and strategic gameplay. Lying at the heart of this game's success are the heroes one can collect and then use in battle. Knowing which heroes shine above the rest makes all the difference in the world. In this tier list, we will be ranking all of the heroes from best to worst, based on their overall utility in many parts of the game such as damage, survivability, and versatility.

S-Tier: The Top Tier Heroes

These heroes are the cream of the crop in Guardian Tales. They excel in all aspects of the game and are essential to both new and experienced players looking to push through tough content.

1. Loman

In Guardian Tales, Loman is a beast because of how insane his damage output is along with his sustainability in the battle. He has super high attack speed and a high critical hit rate that makes him perfect for both PvE and PvP. Easily solos bosses and deals with huge waves of enemies with ease. The versatility can extend to a wide variety of team compositions, which makes him a must-have hero for any player.

2. Trixie

Trixie is another hero that tops the charts due to her very strong damage and supportive capabilities. Her ability to summon some really strong allies to fight alongside her makes her a great asset for any team. With great mobility and crowd control abilities, Trixie offers much for offensive and defensive strategies.

3. Dark Magician

Dark Magician is a great hero for players who enjoy a more tactical approach to combat. Her powerful magic attacks can deal devastating damage from a distance, and her ability to summon minions to fight for her makes her a great asset in long battles. Dark Magician is also capable of handling multiple enemies at once, making her perfect for wave-based content.

A-Tier: Strong Heroes with High Utility

While not quite dominating, the A-Tier heroes are still incredibly handy and strong when it comes to engaging in combat. These heroes can stand up to almost anything and be part of just about any team.

4. Gwen

Gwen is a versatile hero with fast attack speed and explosive damage. She has a well-rounded kit that makes her effective in a variety of roles. Whether you're looking to clear dungeons quickly or take on challenging bosses, Gwen excels in every scenario. Her ultimate ability can deal massive AoE damage, making her particularly useful in team-based events.

5. Sir Bertram

Sir Bertram is a pretty reliable tank with solid defensive capabilities. He's real good at absorbing damage for your team and can easily lock down enemies with his crowd control skills. This is why many successful team compositions find him very necessary; he has very good synergies with certain heroes in the A-Tier. He may not be as deadly as some other heroes, but his survivability and protection of weak allies make him a must-have in any defensive lineup.

6. Alice

Alice is a really good hero: synergistic in both offense and defense, capable of single-target high damage, and providing excellent crowd control. Her ultimate is great for healing allies and damaging enemies, which makes her a perfect fit to play in a support-based team.

B-Tier: Solid Heroes with Room for Improvement

The B-Tier heroes are still very useful but require specific team composition or setup to shine. These heroes perform well in certain situations but not as good compared to top-tier heroes.

7. Mol

Mol is a flexible hero that has quite decent utility. She has a number of damage and survivability skills which make her versatile in many situations. However, the strength of her damage and crowd control is mediocre compared to some of the higher-tier heroes, and she performs best when synergized properly with other heroes.

8. Valentina

Valentina is a somewhat average supporter who can heal and support in longer fights. She is helpful to some extent in keeping your team healed, but overall, the damage coming from her is far from what was expected from such a tier. Her healing does make her very helpful for surviving harder content but maybe less so in offense.

9. Rin

Rin is an attacker that can dish out a lot of damage when used correctly. However, she tends to be more niche than other heroes, requiring careful timing and positioning. Her ultimate ability can deal heavy single-target damage, but her overall usefulness depends on the situation and team composition.

C-Tier: Heroes with Limited Impact

The C-Tier heroes are those that are going to be generally weaker compared to others. Sure, they might be viable in content here and there, but the roles that they fulfill will either be much more restrictive or take further investment to make work as effectively.

10. Nari

She often gets outclassed by other heroes in higher tiers. Though Nari can deal decent damage, she lacks versatility and somewhat underwhelming stats that make her less desirable; best utilized in niche situations where her specific abilities can be exploited.

11. Emma

She has difficulty making an impact in most content. Her abilities don't bring utility or power on the same level as other heroes in the game. Early game progression may be feasible with her, but as you advance through the tougher challenges, she becomes less and less effective.

12. Kane

Kane is also in the C-Tier since he doesn't offer too much utility to a team. He is super strong in an attack position, but as an overall value he provides being a hero, is simply not that great comparing to most heroes. His unability to efficiently take out more groups of monsters or bosses of higher difficulty reduces his overall viability.
Heroes in D-Tier are the least viable characters in Guardian Tales. While they may have niche uses in particular situations, D-Tier heroes generally lack the raw power, utility, or synergy to be of comparable use to higher tier heroes. Most of them can only see use in the early game or require heavy investment to become better.

13. Reimu

Reimu is a hero with poor damage and survivability. Most of her skills will be useless in high-difficulty content, and she gets really obsolete as you progress in the game. Sure, she is useful for a complete beginner, but no other flexibility means no value in the long run.

14. Yulia

Yulia is often considered one of the weakest heroes in the game. She can't deal enough damage, and her abilities aren't strong enough to provide utility to compensate for the lack of strength. Yulia is best used as a filler hero early on but quickly becomes redundant once you unlock stronger characters.

Conclusion: A Hero for Every Playstyle

Be it building a strong offense or focusing on survivability and defense, Guardian Tales has an enormous variety to choose from. Undeniably, the S-Tier heroes are the strongest regarding damage and utility, but even lower-tier heroes can find their niche in very particular situations. Of course, mastering the strong and weak points of each hero will be the key to maximizing your in-game success. Don't forget to experiment with different team compositions to find that sweet synergy that will fit your playstyle!
